ATLAS searches for higgsinos with R-parity violating couplings in events with leptons
This paper presents two searches for supersymmetry through the direct production of pairs of higgsinos decaying into final states with leptons and (b-) jets. The analyses are performed using 139[Formula: see text]fb[Formula: see text] of the 13[Formula: see text]TeV proton–proton collision data collected with the ATLAS detector. The methods used to estimate the Standard Model and detector backgrounds are discussed, as well as their shortcomings. Finally, results in selected signal regions, and some exclusion limits, are presented, illustrating the significant improvement over the previous exclusion limits.
