ASSOCIAÇÃO DE HIDROXIAPATITA DE CÁLCIO E ÁCIDO HIALURÔNICO NO REJUVENESCIMENTO FACIAL
Calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) and hyaluronic acid (HA) are injectable substances that stimulate fibroblasts to synthesize collagen, used in dermal fillers aimed at facial rejuvenation. In this context, the present study aims to describe the combined use of calcium hydroxyapatite with hyaluronic acid in facial rejuvenation, with its effectiveness, technique and possible adverse reactions. This is a narrative literature review, with a survey of the Virtual Health Library (VHL), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), National Library of Medicine (PubMed) and Google Scholar databases. The articles collected covered the period from 2019 to 2024. Scientific articles available in the aforementioned databases were included, consisting of descriptive and analytical studies, which included at least two descriptors in the title or abstract and published in full in Portuguese and English within the period of five years. The effectiveness of the association of CaHa with HA was noted, which provided an improvement in aesthetics in addition to mitigating the effects of signs of aging, through an immediate lifting effect, in addition to providing volume and support to the face, restoring its natural contour, promoting natural and long-lasting effects depending on the areas treated and the patient’s particularities. The safety of mixing the substances was demonstrated in the short and long term in the studies analyzed, however, mild adverse reactions may arise, generally resulting from errors in the technique or too much product applied. Therefore, dermal filler with CaHa/AH becomes an effective therapy for facial rejuvenation.
