Intelligent Assembly Fiber Optic Sensing System for Digital Twins
In the field of industrial production, structural components need install in their corresponding positions. When there is interference during the assembly process, it can lead to assembly abnormalities. It’s important to research an automatic intelligent perception system for assembly. An intelligent assembly system based on fiber optic sensing network was studied. It achieves real-time monitoring by FBG, and imports data into the processing module by digital twinning, and reconstruct the field distribution. Designed a technology fusion method based on fiber optic sensing networks and digital twins. The results show that using FBG networking can effectively obtain stress field distribution. In the experiment, stress tests were conducted on 8 mechanical claw positions, and compared with Handscan scanner. The maximum testing errors in the x-axis and y-axis directions are -0.84mm and 0.81mm, respectively. This system can effectively identify stress field changes caused by assembly abnormalities, providing data support for intelligent calibration.
