Intelligent Techniques for the Identification and Classification of Brain Tumors

Brain tumors are a challenge to accurate diagnosis and effective treatment because of their heterogeneity and complex biology. However, conventional diagnostic techniques such as imaging and histopathology have limitations in their sensitivity and specificity. Coordinating advanced imaging methods with genetic and molecular biomarkers has great potential for advancing brain tumor detection and grading. The current research status is on combining advanced imaging techniques including fMRI(functional MRI), DTI(Diffusion Tensor Imaging), and MRS(Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy) with genomics such as NGS (next-generation sequencing) and liquid biopsy. The synergistic combination of these approaches could improve diagnostic accuracy, personalize treatment options, and provide valuable prognostic information.
