Designing a Step-Shaped Antenna for Versatile Multiband Applications

A Multiband microstrip patch antenna is proposed in this research which is compatible with Multiband applications. Such as 5G, IoT, radar, and satellite communication etc. The proposed antenna can achieve multi-band functionality with higher frequency through metamaterial structure without increasing the dimension of the 5G antenna. The proposed antenna will operate at a resonant frequency between 5 GHz to 8 GHz with improved gain and radiation efficiency. A dual patch with metamaterial is proposed with a single feed structure that maintains the same size as the MIMO antenna without affecting antenna parameters. The use of electromagnetic metamaterial gives a new solution for antenna size reduction and improves the gain and Multiband operations with a single port feed network. The antenna’s structure will be constructed, and measured using a network analyzer, and the model and observed outcomes will be compared and evaluated for Multiband operations.
