Economic Analysis of Large-Scale Offshore Wind Power Integration Schemes
Offshore wind power is developing towards large-scale and deep-sea applications. Existing offshore wind power integration schemes mainly include: high voltage alternating current (HVAC), high voltage direct current (HVDC), low frequency alternating current (LFAC), and medium voltage DC collection (MVDC) HVDC transmission (all-DC). However, current feasibility studies primarily focus on offshore wind power capacities of around 1000MW. Confronting the demand for 2000MW/3000MW large-scale offshore wind power integration, this paper establishes the cost calculation models for the four integration schemes and subsequently conducts the economic comparison analysis. The results can serve as a reference for the investment and construction of the offshore wind power transmission system in deep-sea applications.
