Design and Optimization of Magnetic Shielding of High Current Transformer Based on Finite Element Simulation Technique
The development of power systems has led to an increase in the generating capacity of power plants, and therefore the current carried by generators when delivering electrical energy has increased accordingly. Due to installation space constraints, the current transformers of large generators are subjected to the magnetic flux generated by neighboring phase currents at the head and tail, resulting in severe saturation of the core of the current transformer of the current phase. In this project, the powerful ability of computer will be fully utilized to design magnetic shielding with the help of finite element simulation software FLUX. The simulation results illustrate that the balanced winding produces a magnetic shielding effect on the stray flux that there is a magnetic shielding effect both for the influence of one-phase conductors and two-phase conductors, and that the number of balanced winding turns is not proportional to the shielding effect.
