Non Destructive Estimation of Electrolytes Present in Body Fluids using Multifrequency Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis
Bioelectrical impedance measurement is a noninvasive technique that has gained prominence as a practical and informative method for assessing body composition and hydration status. This study aims to delve into the effectiveness of BIA in providing accurate measurements offering a valuable alternative to traditional methods. In a cohort of 53 participants, ranging across age between 05 to 12, BIA measurements were collected using a multi-frequency impedance analyzer. The analysis revealed a robust correlation highlighting the consistency of BIA results with the gold standard. This correlation was consistent across all demographic subsets, emphasizing the method’s applicability across diverse populations in estimating electrolytes.
