Smart Water Meter Monitoring System using Internet of Things

The interplay between a growing human population, environmental degradation, and shifting climatic patterns is making clean water a precious commodity. Thus, it is critical to check water quality, particularly for drinking water. Conventional methods of testing in laboratories are labor-intensive, expensive, and do not provide results in real time. In terms of data security, energy administration, as well as communication coverage, newly built systems that use WSN technology have been shown to have several shortcomings. Priority areas for flood alert systems, irrigation networks, electricity powerhouses, and investigations all rely heavily on accurate flood-level data. Hand measurements of water levels have been used for a long time, although they aren’t always accurate because of things like difficulties getting to the measuring site or human mistakes. It sends information to the headquarters via a web server so that the database can be maintained. Only authorized users will be able to access the database thanks to password security. The customer will be billed according to their water use. We measure the amount of water that is entering in liters per minute or other volumetric rates. The amount of water is measured via an ESP32-connected flow sensor.
