Research on Wind Power Distribution Network Line Protection Method Based on Frequency Difference
Wind power is a clean and renewable energy source in nature, and the use of wind power can effectively solve the problem of pollution caused by fossil fuels such as coal. However, due to wind speed fluctuations and other reasons, wind power generation has the characteristics of randomness, suddenness, and uncertainty, which affects the reliability of three-stage protection actions in distribution networks. In this regard, this article proposes a method based on the frequency difference of current at both ends of the line to ensure reliable operation of line protection. A model is established in PSCAD simulation software to analyze and verify the effectiveness and feasibility of this method. Simulation results show that under different wind speeds and types of line faults, this protection method can effectively and reliably operate, and the approximate location of faults can be determined based on the protection action situation, with strong adaptability.
