Analysis of Stress Distribution in the Sealing Ring of Converter Valve Under Multi-Physics Fields
The stress directly affects the service life of the sealing ring of the converter valve and the safe and stable operation of the converter valve tower. Considering that the sealing ring is affected by various physical fields in the actual operating environment, the simulation mathematical models of mechanical stress, electromagnetic stress, thermal stress and mechanical-thermo-hydraulic coupling stress are established respectively, and the stress distribution is analyzed. The results show that the mechanical force causes the greatest stress in the inner sealing ring, which makes it easier to age than the outer surface. Water pressure can increase the stress in the compression direction of the sealing ring. It does not cause the sealing ring to extend along the radial direction. The stress contributed by the electric field contributes is very little. The analysis of coupled mechanical force, water pressure and temperature fields shows that the average stress varies greatly within the normal operating temperature range. Comprehensive analysis shows that temperature has the most significant effect on stress distribution, which needs to be paid more attention.
