Dynamic Resources Management: An Algorithm for Concurrent Access Control
The study presents an implementation of a scalable algorithm for the “Readers-Writers Problem” using Java’s Remote Method Invocation (RMI) API. The objective is to provide a fair and efficient solution that allows multiple readers and writers to access a shared resource while maintaining data consistency and minimizing contention. The algorithm offers complete user control over critical section processes, ensuring that readers and writers can operate concurrently without conflicts. By leveraging semaphores and structured access control mechanisms, the algorithm addresses the challenges of data integrity and synchronization in concurrent computing environments. Future prospects include optimizing performance metrics, exploring alternative data structures, and integrating with emerging technologies like cloud computing and IoT systems. Collaborations with industry partners for real-world deployment and evaluation will drive advancements in scalability and applicability across diverse domains.
