Integration of Modern Sensor Technology in Traditional Ayurvedic Health Diagnosis

This research presents a novel approach to health diagnosis by combining traditional Ayurvedic principles with modern sensor technology. Based on the concept of doshas (vata, pitta, and kapha), Ayurveda identifies imbalances in these three fundamental energies as the root causes of illness. The proposed system utilizes wrist pulse analysis, a traditional Ayurvedic diagnostic method, to assess the patient’s dosha balance. By integrating sensors such as IR sensors, piezoelectric sensors, pulse sensors, and a Wi-Fi module, the system collects data on various physiological parameters, including blood pressure and heart rate. This data is then analyzed to determine the patient’s dosha constitution and identify potential imbalances. The system utilizes Ayurvedic knowledge to suggest appropriate remedies based on the detected dosha imbalances. This approach offers a non-invasive and costeffective alternative to traditional medical diagnostic methods while preserving the wisdom of Ayurvedic practices.
