ANÁLISE DA EFICIÊNCIA REPRODUTIVA DOS PROTOCOLOS HORMONAIS PRESYNCH E OVSYNCH EM VACAS HOLANDESAS
Reproductive efficiency depends on reducing the calving interval through artificial insemination or natural breeding, leading to a higher conception rate in a shorter time. The Presynch and Ovsynch insemination protocols are the most commonly used. The objective of this study was to evaluate which of the Presynch or Ovsynch protocols has greater reproductive efficiency for high-producing dairy cows, analyzing the results obtained from data collected through the database of Lenheiros farm, located in Carmo do Paranaíba-MG, using Ideagri software, focusing on inseminations evaluated from 2021 to 2022, and observing the pregnancy rate. The data were compiled and processed in Microsoft Excel® using descriptive statistics. There was no significant difference between the conception rates of the Ovsynch and Presynch protocols during dry and rainy periods. However, over the 12 months of study, it was observed that the Ovsynch protocol was effective in inseminating cows with late pregnancies, achieving a 67.1% conception rate, which increases the pregnancy rate on the property, as this method is applied only to cows that did not achieve positive results after synchronization. Thus, the final conclusion is that the Ovsynch protocol was effective in inseminating cows with late pregnancies, regardless of the climate.
