Global smooth axisymmetric solutions of the damped Boussinesq equations with zero thermal diffusion

In this paper we study the Cauchy problem for the three-dimensional damped Boussinesq system with zero thermal diffusion. We show that the solution of this system with 1\leq\beta\leq\frac{7}{3} is globally well posed if the initial data is axisymmetric without swirl.

Abstract

In this paper we study the Cauchy problem for the three-dimensional damped Boussinesq system with zero thermal diffusion. We show that the solution of this system with 1\leq\beta\leq\frac{7}{3} is globally well posed if the initial data is axisymmetric without swirl.
