An Improved Three-Phase Monopolar Generator

The article is devoted to the study of the design of a double-power monopolar generator. In previous studies, the authors proposed a brushless generator of a new design, the winding coils of which are located on the stator, including the field winding. In the improved model of the monopolar generator a doubling of the output power with the same dimensions, as well as a decrease in specific mass, is achieved. The advantage of the design is the filling of the stator circumference with a coefficient of 0.75, which gives a twofold larger total area of the stator coil teeth. On a 3D model, the basic properties of the generator were obtained using the finite element method and the operating mode on the load with different capacitance values was studied. The obtained results are shown in an easy-to-understand form and allow an independent assessment of the new generator design.
