The Effect of the Power Focusing Mode on the Flow of Molten Metal in a Two-Section Induction Crucible Furnace
Induction heating is currently well studied, so the main tasks in this area have already been solved, but there are problems associated with optimizing the technological process. The electromagnetic stirring of the melt is considered in the article. In the course of the study, modeling and analysis of the behavior of the melt in an induction crucible furnace were carried out. A method is proposed to accelerate the mixing of the melt by changing the distribution of electrodynamic forces by changing the focusing of power in sections of a height-partitioned inductor. It has been revealed what effect the power is focused in which section of the inductor has on the nature and velocity of the metal flow in the crucible.
