Comparison of Multiple Dielectric Resonator Antenna Shape at Millimeterwave
The development of communication systems especially in antenna design in this era seeks to create low-cost, small-sized devices, with high gain and high bandwidth. Unfortunately, loss at millimeter-wave is very severe, especially involving microstrip antennas. To provide high gain, high bandwidth, and low loss antenna, dielectric resonator antennas (DRA) are introduced here operating at 27 GHz. The antennas are designed using HFSS with a Roger 5880 substrate with the different polygon shapes of DRA such as rectangular, hexagonal, decagonal, and octagonal. The results are then compared and the best result is hexagonal.
