Sensors System Based on Fuzzy Logic for Irrigation
Water scarcity is the biggest threat to the socio-economic food and agricultural system. Further deterioration of water resources is expected as temperatures continue to rise due to climate change. The paper presents a study of irrigation control using a fuzzy logic system. The system is based on air temperature, humidity, rain, and soil humidity sensors that provide the data input for a fuzzy logic and the time control for a pump is the output. The acquisition board ESP8266-12E is connected to the computer by USB (universal serial bus) port. In LabView interface, the data is processed to control the time period of the open water pump. The present study is used to irrigate the ornamental plants from the house or greenhouses. The tests are achieved on flower pots.
