A Miniaturized Fractal Antenna based on Square Sierpinski model for Super-Wideband Applications
This paper presents a miniaturized fractal antenna based on square Sierpinski for super-wideband applications, designed to fulfill the increasing demand for wireless communication services. The antenna design incorporates fractal antenna methodology and truncated ground plane techniques to achieve a bandwidth exceeding 25 GHz in simulations and 15 GHz in measurements. Using a novel Sierpinski square fractal slot method, the antenna maintains super-wideband (SWB) operation with excellent time-domain characteristics. The study underscores the importance of miniaturization and wideband capabilities in antenna design for various wireless communication applications. The irregular distribution of the surface current at 5.875 GHz has a decisive influence on the performance and radiation properties of the antenna. Overall, the proposed antenna shows promising performance in super-wideband and omnidirectional radiation patterns, making it suitable for various high-frequency applications.
