Anchor Placement for Enhanced Performance in Software Defined Wireless Communication Network
In SDN, a non line-of-site situation is one in which the broadcast signal from a controller may arrive at a receiver along a path that has been penetrated, reflected, or diffracted. This results in a longer travel time and lower signal intensity for the signal traveling through the path. This work proposes a new anchor placement method in SDN that prioritizes latency and RSS under non-line-of-site. We have used the iterated weighted least squares algorithm in order to effectively limit the effects of errors on the positioning accuracy of the SDN controller and increase its performance. The results show improved inter controller latency where we have 50 non line-of-site nodes or more. Also, this research have shown the efficiency of our algorithm in maintaining the size of the cluster, minimizing network and inter anchor latency in dense environments.
