Development of a Synchronous Electric Motor with Permanent Magnets for Small-Sized Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

The development and manufacture of a synchronous electric motor with permanent magnets for small-sized UAVs has been carried out. The results of the main stages performed during the creation of an electric machine and including the structural, computational and experimental parts are presented. The choice of the type and appearance of the electric motor design, as well as the materials from which its elements are made, was carried out in the structural part. In the calculation part, the size of the active part, the type of winding and the calculation of the performance characteristics of an electric machine were performed using electromagnetic modeling in the Ansys Motor-CAD software package. The test results of the manufactured sample and its closest analogue are given in the experimental part. The developed electric motor, when compared, showed output indicators close to the analog.
