A 75 dB DR, 0.13 μT/√Hz Hall Sensor with CT-ΣΔ-ADC, Digital Chopper Ripple Rejection Loops and Custom Nano-Timing Techniques
This paper presents a Hall switching sensor with continuous-time sigma-delta-ADC and digital comparator, suitable also for absolute magnetic measurement. With a reduced analog frontend and digital offset ripple loops built into the ADC, it achieves below $16 \mu$ T offset and $15 \mu$ Trms noise in a 14 kHz bandwidth, while covering a 230 mT magnetic range and drawing 3.1 mA from the internal power supplies. The combination of these, by an established FOM, represents more than 3.1x upgrade on the state of the art.
