The Use of Power Decoupling Method and Sliding Mode Current Controllers for Virtual Synchronous Machine

The article discusses a voltage source inverter control system based on a virtual synchronous machine. Methods of improving a current control virtual synchronous machine known in the literature are proposed - the interdependence of the output active and reactive power is eliminated by changing the algorithm for generating set currents, and the quality of regulation and the harmonic composition of the output electricity are improved by replacing PI current regulators with sliding type regulators. The approbation and confirmation of the claimed properties of the designed control system was carried out using the Matlab/Simulink and the Simscape library.

Abstract

The article discusses a voltage source inverter control system based on a virtual synchronous machine. Methods of improving a current control virtual synchronous machine known in the literature are proposed - the interdependence of the output active and reactive power is eliminated by changing the algorithm for generating set currents, and the quality of regulation and the harmonic composition of the output electricity are improved by replacing PI current regulators with sliding type regulators. The approbation and confirmation of the claimed properties of the designed control system was carried out using the Matlab/Simulink and the Simscape library.
