Application of Ferrimagnetic Element Chiral Properties for Ferroprobe Excitation
The paper is concerned with the ferroprobe excitation system characteristics. The research objective is to improve the measuring accuracy and the ferroprobe technological parameters due to significant reduction in the thermal disturbing factor, interference resistance improvement and simplification of the ferrobrobe modulator design. This is achieved by the fact that the change in the ferrimagnetic core magnetic state is carried out by means of a modulator, the ferrimagnetic core is affected perpendicular to its longitudinal symmetry axis by the alternating electric field, which excites a standing modulating transverse electric (TE) wave or a magnetic-type H wave in the core on the modulator resonance frequency. In addition, the modulator resonant mode is set up so that 3/2 of the standing excited wave length could get through the ferrimagnetic core length and its mean antinode could be located on the transverse symmetry axis of the ferrimagnetic core. To implement this method, the radiating dipole element covering a part of the ferromagnetic core length is designed in the form of the C-antenna. The specified antenna consists of two separate current-conducting elements in the form of lateral faces of thin-walled semi-cylinders attached symmetrically to the external surface of the thin-walled dielectric cylinder bushing and aligned by its bigger side along its element and located symmetrically in relation to the ferrimagnetic core transverse symmetry axis. At the same time, the core also acts as an adjusting element of the C-antenna operating mode and the modulation element of the measured constant magnetic field.
