Algorithm for Solving the Inverse Problem of Thermal Conductivity to Control the Heating of the Stator Winding of an Electric Motor

The problem of finding an algorithm for the numerical solution of the inverse problem of thermal conductivity, which is stable against temperature measurement errors, has been solved, which can be used as the basis for means of monitoring the temperature of the stator winding of an asynchronous motor. The problem was solved using the example of heating a low-voltage closed-type asynchronous motor, for which the technical data, dimensions and thermophysical parameters are known. The initial data for the inverse problem were the results of solving the direct heat conduction problem, solved using the finite element method using the PDE Toolbox Matlab software package. A new algorithm for solving the inverse heat conduction problem is obtained within the framework of difference methods. The results develop and complement previously performed studies and confirm the established theoretical possibility of estimating the temperature of the stator winding based on the results of measuring the temperature on the surface of the motor.
