Enterprise cybersecurity investment priorities. A framework for executives

In an increasingly unstable and uncertain scenario organizations are moving quickly to position new competitive advantages situated in a digital landscape, which necessarily involves increasing their appetite for cyber risk and incorporating capabilities along these same lines that allow them to navigate and assume a strategic posture amidst current geopolitical tensions and targeted cyber attacks. In this regard, this article presents a framework for prioritizing enterprise cybersecurity investments for executives as a new common place and language based on the promise of value, the cyber threat landscape and risk appetite as the foundation for strategic conversations that enable the organization and its executive team to articulate business plans and the demands of an increasingly wild and less predictable digital environment, and so realize a vigilant and resilient enterprise cybersecurity posture.
