Vision-Based Measurement:The Application and Research in Gantry Cranes at Bulk Cargo Terminals

In modern port logistics, dry bulk terminals play a critical role. This study explores the application of the VBM (Vision-Based Measurement) system in gantry cranes at dry bulk terminals. The system relies on vision sensors and processing algorithms to accurately and quickly identify and measure targets, including geometric measurements and status monitoring. The VBM system analyzes visual data to obtain rich surrounding information, enabling efficient vision-based tasks such as target identification, localization, and geometric measurement. Future prospects include technological innovations to address challenges in complex environments, enhance VBM system processing capabilities, and integrate the system into port operation systems for intelligent operations. This research provides valuable technical support and prospects for the automation and intelligent development of dry bulk ports.
