A Two-Phase Monopolar Generator
Brushless monopolar generators are a new type of electrical machines developed by the authors. A new design of a previously known two-phase monopolar generator is proposed, and the generator operating modes for linear and nonlinear loads in a wide range of parameters are investigated. The results obtained allow to evaluate the prospects for application in industry. The power supply mode from two phases to a three-phase load is also investigated, with a symmetrical shift of 120 degrees on the load when powered by a three-wire circuit. Thus, the generator design is simple and can be used to power two-phase and three-phase loads. The absence of brushes ensures long-term maintenance-free operation and high reliability.
