Design of Frequency-Controlled Electric Drive with Proportional-Integral-Differential Regulator
The desire to increase the efficiency and reliability of industrial facilities contributes to the development of new technical solutions aimed at modernizing equipment. This work presents the design of a variable-frequency electric drive using a proportional-integral-derivative controller to control a main pumping unit. Using such a system allows you to reduce energy consumption and reduce the frequency of unexpected repairs. The simulation was carried out using the Matlab/Simulink package, which ensured precise tuning of the proportional-integral-derivative controller adapted to pressure changes. As a result of the simulation, diagrams of the parameters of the constituent elements of the system were obtained. After analyzing the diagrams, one can judge the possibility of operating a variable-frequency electric drive of a synchronous electric motor, since this method of controlling a synchronous electric motor is the most effective.
