Industrial VSWR Automation Module in the EHF Range
With the development of 5/6G communication systems in the electronic field, the task of research and development of functional nodes operating at frequencies of 25 GHZ and above arises. At the same time, the availability and accessibility of digital metrological complexes is very limited, which imposes a number of requirements for research. An alternative method for analyzing wave processes in microwave technology is numerical methods and the design of digital counterparts of real devices in order to optimize. This approach also requires verification based on a physical experiment. This article proposes the use of digitization modules of analog metrological devices for digital processing of the received measurements. The proposed method makes it possible to use existing and more affordable technical solutions and combine them with numerical methods. Also, the proposed metrological complexes consisting of a universal digitization module and a measuring device can optimize the quality control process of the developed microwave technology modules. The paper proposes a layout of the system based on a digitization module and a panoramic VSWR meter, models of which can measure from 1 GHz to 150 GHz. Software based on the Labview graphical language has been developed for data processing. The experimental results showed the adequacy of the proposed solution and the possibility of integrating the metrological complex into the technological process of manufacturing microwave components as a verification device. The error of the measurements obtained can be reduced by using an ADC with a higher bit depth and frequency of disretization.
