Cover Feature: Electrocatalytic Dinitrogen Reduction to Ammonia Using Easily Reducible N‐Fused Cobalt Porphyrins (Chem. Eur. J. 58/2024)
Single-site electrocatalysts for dinitrogen reduction to ammonia have been developed based on easily reducible N-fused cobalt porphyrins. Faradic efficiencies in the 6–7.5% range with ammonia yield rates of 300–340 μmol g-1 h-1 at room temperature and neutral pH conditions have been accomplished. Nitrogen fixation under mild reaction conditions was demonstrated. More information can be found in the Research Article by T. R. Cundari, M. Sankar, F. D'Souza, and co-workers (DOI: 10.1002/chem.202402610).
