Design And Simulation Of Vertical Agricultural Farm

Today, while Vietnam is undergoing industrialization and modernization with changes in science and technology, the agricultural sector still asserts its vital position in the economy. Additionally, the shift of labor from the countryside to the cities to look for work and climate changes have gradually created challenges for traditional agriculture in the near future. In this study, a promising indoor farming model that can solve those challenges, which is being researched and developed by many countries in the world, will be proposed. The idea of a vertical farming model (Vertical Farm) is a new concept in Vietnam in recent years. The study will contribute to building an ideal model of the future agricultural production plant, helping to solve food safety problems, lack of arable land, lack of agricultural labor, and climate change. With the knowledge and understanding of the Lean management method (Lean) and visualization through 2D and 3D simulation software (AutoCAD, Sketchup, Arena, etc.), our team decided to choose the topic “Design and Simulation of Vertical agricultural farm” for research and development. In this article, we will focus on introducing the SLP model’s theoretical foundations and the production site’s layout following the lean management method and conducting simulations with 3 D software simulation to provide the most intuitive view of the field.
