Building A Multilingual Guide System on Mobile Devices at Danang Museum

This paper presents the results of research on the application of new technologies to improve the quality of museum services, especially at Danang Museum. The new contribution of the research here is to propose a model for an automatic guide system based on the application of QR Code technology and multimedia data mining. The system allows visitors to access multimedia explanatory content (text, audio or video) of each artifact through the corresponding QR Code. In particular, the system provides multilingual explanatory data (English, French and Vietnamese) for more than 600 artifacts and easily updates explanatory data for artifacts.
