Green Policies and Programmes in ASEAN
This study analyses the green policies and initiatives adopted by the member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). As the region grapples with environmental challenges and the imperative to promote sustainability, member countries have implemented various strategies to address climate change, biodiversity loss, and resource depletion. This study examines key areas such as renewable energy, climate change mitigation, sustainable transport, biodiversity conservation, waste management, water resource management, environmental education, green building, and cross-border collaboration. By analyzing the efforts of individual ASEAN nations, we aim to identify common trends, challenges, and opportunities for enhancing environmental sustainability in the region.
