Collective Dynamics in a Network of Electronic FitzHugh-Nagumo Generators Coupled via a Hub
We experimentally study the collective dynamics of analog electronic FitzHugh-Nagumo generators in a multilayer network. A three-layer network is considered, the two outer layers of which are rings of bidirectionally coupled FitzHugh-Nagumo generators, and one inner layer is a hub in the form of a FitzHugh-Nagumo generator, which provides bidirectional coupling between the two rings. It is shown that with repulsive couplings of FitzHugh-Nagumo generators inside the rings and repulsive interlayer couplings, frequency synchronization of all network generators occurs.
