Circadian rhythms in the interaction between the processes of autonomic control of blood circulation
Circadian rhythms are important for the regulation of the cardiovascular system and can serve as a therapeutic target for improving existing and developing new treatments for circulatory diseases. We monitored blood pressure, heart rate, amplitude of low-frequency oscillations of the sequence of RR-interval and the total percentage of phase synchronization between the low-frequency processes of autonomic control of heart rate and mean arterial pressure in 17 young healthy volunteers for 24 hours. The results of our studies indicate slow-frequency oscillations with a period of about 2.8 hours in controlled processes and their correlation with circadian fluctuations in blood pressure and heart rate.
