Default resting state EEG activity mathematical analysis as the new neurophysiological technology
The relative stagnation of the EEG method significantly complicates the assessment of clinical borderline psychopathological states that are actively observed in modern society. The purpose of the study was to show the possibilities of mathematical analysis of EEG microstates as a new method of clinical EEG diagnostics. The results made it possible to determine that the use of mathematical processing of EEG signals makes it possible to visualize individual cognitive profiles of the disease, which differ significantly from indicators of normal brain activity. These studies make it possible to offer practical psychiatry a new objective method for studying human cognitive functions.
