Effect of Dexmedetomidine Combined with Nalbuphine Intravenous Controlled Analgesia on Sleep Quality and Cognitive Function in Elderly Patients After Lumbar Spine Surgery
Objective: To study and analyze the effects of dexmedetomidine combined with nalbuphine intravenous controlled analgesia on sleep quality and cognitive function in elderly patients after lumbar spine surgery. Methods: 60 el-derly patients with lumbar surgery in our hospital from January 2022 to October 2023 were selected and divided into study groups and control groups with 30 cases in each group by double-blind random method. Patients in both groups were given general anesthesia during the operation with the same anesthesia program, and both groups were given intravenous controlled analgesia after the operation. The study group was given dexmedetomidine combined with nalbuphine, and the control group was given sufentanil. Postoperative sleep quality, cognitive function, and perioperative adverse reactions were evaluated and compared between the two groups. Results: The MMSE score of the study group was higher than that of the control group at 1d, 3d, and 5d after surgery; the PSQI score of the study group was higher than that of the control group at 1d and 3d after surgery; the incidence of perioperative adverse reactions in the study group was lower than that of the control group, with statistical significance (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Dexmedetomidine combined with nalbuphine can improve sleep quality and cognitive function in elderly patients after lumbar surgery, and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions.
