Developing A More Accessible Digital Platform for Gig Workers with Disabilities: from the Perspective of Job Matching
The gig economy allows independent workers to earn by completing temporary or short-term tasks assigned by digital platforms. With the rise of platforms and the development of accessible technologies, many gig workers with disabilities are participating and gaining new employment opportunities. Although digital platforms provide employment opportunities, challenges still exist in this special group. This study has explored strategies for developing accessible digital platforms while proposing an optimized job-matching model targeted at gig workers with disabilities based on digital platforms.
