PENGARUH KOLABORASI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN DIRECT INSTRUCTION DENGAN REALISTIC MATHEMATICS EDUCATION TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIS

This research is motivated by the condition of students in understanding mathematical concepts in class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Lirik which is still relatively low, while the ability to understand concepts is a basic ability that students must have. Students still have difficulty in understanding and solving problems in mathematics learning. So that this research is an alternative solution to overcome these problems, namely by implementing a collaboration of the Direct Instruction learning model with the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) learning approach. This study aims to determine the Effect of Collaboration of the Direct Instruction Learning Model with the Realistic Mathematics Education Learning Approach on the Ability to Understand Mathematical Concepts of Class VIII Students of SMPN 2 Lirik. The type of this research is Quasi-experimental, with the research design being The Randomized Posttest-Only Control Design. The population in this study was class VIII of SMPN 2 Lirik. The sampling technique in this study used the Nonprobability Sampling method, the Saturated Sampling section of class VIII-B as the experimental class and class VIII-A as the control class. The data collection technique in this study was a test of students' mathematical concept understanding abilities. The analysis technique in this study used the t-test as a hypothesis test. Based on the t-test, the results of the t-test obtained tcount> ttable or 3.761> 2.005 and the sig. value = 0.000 <0.05 with (df) n-2, then the decision taken H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. So it can be concluded that "There is an Influence of Collaboration of Direct Instruction Learning Model with Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) Learning Approach on the Ability to Understand Mathematical Concepts of Class VIII Students of SMPN 2 Lirik". ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keadaan peserta didik dalam memahami pemahaman konsep matematis di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Lirik masih tergolong rendah, sedangkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep merupakan kemampuan dasar yang harus dimiliki peserta didik. Peserta didik masih kesulitan dalam memahami dan menyelesaikan masalah dalam pembelajaran matematika. Sehingga adanya penelitian ini menjadi solusi alternatif untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut yaitu dengan menerapkan kolaborasi model pembelajaran Direct Instruction dengan pendekatan pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Education (RME). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Kolaborasi Model Pembelajaran Direct Instruction dengan Pendekatan Pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Education Terhadap Kemampuan Pemahaman Konsep Matematis Peserta Didik Kelas VIII SMPN 2 Lirik. Adapun jenis penelitian ini adalah Quasi eksperimen, dengan desain penelitiannya yaitu The Randomized Posttestp-Only Control Design. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Lirik. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode Nonprobability Sampling bagian Sampling Jenuh kelas VIII-B sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII-A sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini yaitu tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika peserta didik. Teknik analisis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Uji-t sebagai uji hipotesis. Berdasarkan Uji-t diperoleh hasil Uji-t diperoleh thitung ttabel atau 3,761 2,005 serta nilai sig. = 0,000 < 0,05 dengan (df) n-2 maka keputusan yang diambil H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa “Terdapat Pengaruh Kolaborasi Model Pembelajaran Direct Instruction dengan Pendekatan Pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) terhadap Kemampuan Pemahaman Konsep Matematis Peserta Didik Kelas VIII SMPN 2 Lirik”.
