Investigation of the Sensitivity of the Annular Magnet Magnetic Field to Changes in Its Thickness for Magnetic Focusing Systems
Reducing the geometric parameters of permanent magnets makes the electronic parameters of the traveling wave tubes especially sensitive to various technological deviations. Under such conditions, it is especially important to analyze the effect of changes in the geometric parameters of the magnets on the stability of the electron beam. A mathematical model of magnetic field sensitivity is presented. The obtained calculations were analyzed according to the model and the effectiveness of using magnetic field sensitivity analysis simultaneously with the magnetic parameter to assess the influence of technological deviations on the focusing of the electron beam was proven. The result of the work can be used in the design of traveling wave lamps at the stage of determining the geometric parameters of the device.
