On the Influence of Self-Generated Magnetic Field on Electron Beams Transport in High-Power Pulse Klystrons
It is demonstrated that in short-pulse vacuum devices self-generated magnetic field of electron beams is effectively shielded by copper envelope and doesn’t influence beams transport with the exception of electron gun area. In a gun of high-current multibeam klystron electron beams are declined to common axis of the device due to collective self-magnetic field. A technique of current intercept determination is considered which is based on measurement of self-magnetic field.
