Filtration of Stray Microwave Emissions from Magnetron Cathode Leg
The work is devoted to reducing and filtration of stray microwave emissions from magnetron cathode leg using choke devices. A spectral analysis of microwave radiation from the M-177 magnetron operating at a frequency of 915 MHz with a traditional cathode leg design was performed. A new design of the choke device on the cathode leg of the magnetron has been developed and optimized Using numerical methods. The new design will allow additional filtering of the second harmonic of the fundamental frequency and increase the dielectric strength of the cathode assembly.
