On the Maximum Efficiency of Powerful Klystrons with a Limited Bunching Length

The mechanisms of reducing the maximum possible efficiency of klystrons with a decrease in the interaction length and an increase in the beam perveance are considered. The results of optimization of a powerful klystron with a total length limited from above and with a beam perveance limited from below are presented.

Abstract

The mechanisms of reducing the maximum possible efficiency of klystrons with a decrease in the interaction length and an increase in the beam perveance are considered. The results of optimization of a powerful klystron with a total length limited from above and with a beam perveance limited from below are presented.
