Development of a Super-Powerful 20 MW Pulsed S-band Klystron

This report discusses the design challenges and issues of creating a highly powerful klystron for powering a linear electron accelerator in a synchrotron radiation source. It presents the results of calculations for the electrodynamic, electron-optic systems, and the klystron interaction cavity. The test results from the first prototype are also shown.
