Study of Transformation of Rotational Motion of Electrons into Translational Motion in a Cyclotron-Wave Converter of Microwave Power into DC Power

Due to modern trends in the use of microwave radiation for energy transfer systems, a new task has emerged - the creation of powerful devices that carry out efficient conversion of large levels of microwave energy into DC energy. Vacuum devices utilising the phenomenon of cyclotron resonance in electron flow may be the most promising for these purposes. The cyclotron-wave converter (CWC) is resistant to overloads in high-frequency and low-frequency circuits, and has high radiation resistance. In this paper, microwave to dc power converters are considered. The results of the study of an experimental mock-up of a cyclotron converter are given.
