Speculative F/Actors: Climate Futures - Crafting a Workshop for Collaborative Worldbuilding in Cataclysmic Climates

In this pictorial, we present Speculative F/Actors: Climate Futures, a workshop that explores how individuals' lived experiences are entangled with both human and non-human factors and actors in the context of climate change. Through collaborative, speculative worldbuilding diorama activities, participants co-construct possibilities and potentials for interconnected more-than-human futures. This pictorial, showcases (1) the development process of the workshop and accompanying kit (2) the design principles that shaped the final workshop, and (3) the insights and challenges uncovered throughout the workshops. We also consider strategies for how to make this approach actionable for other workshops on other localized and situated contexts.
