The study focuses on the immediate geographic region of Porto Velho, with five municipalities. The State Solid Waste Plan, coordinated by SEDAM, aims to reduce waste, but faces challenges such as inadequate disposal and the use of landfills. Research Implications: It has relevant practical implications for mapping and analyzing the National Solid Waste Policy in the state of Rondônia, and establishing connections and guidelines that contribute to the SDGs of the UN 2030 Agenda. Originality/Value: This study contributes to the literature by [highlighting the originality of the research, whether through the innovative approach, discoveries or practical contributions].
