CAPTAÇÃO E ESTOCAGEM DE ÁGUA PLUVIAL: IMPORTÂNCIA DE IMPLEMENTAR UM SISTEMA PARA REUTILIZAÇÃO DE ÁGUA EM UMA CASA UNIFAMILIAR
The current scenario brings an imminent fear of not having water for anything. In this situation, alternatives emerge to recycle this precious resource. The objective of this monograph is to provide an example of implementing a system that can capture and store rainwater for reuse in household tasks such as toilet flushing, watering plants, and washing yards, among other tasks that do not require potable water. During dry months, the stored water can be used for these tasks, bringing financial benefits as well as helping the environment. The implementation of the system and its importance in today’s world are shown, along with the components used to capture and treat this water in a basic way. The chosen measure for storing this water and distributing it to the areas of interest is also presented, along with information related to precipitation and the calculations used to understand the project’s feasibility. The benefits and drawbacks of using the method are presented, highlighting the importance of the system and water collection and possible problems that may arise for the user, with information from renowned authors on the importance of maintaining water quality. It was found that the system is effective even in areas with low precipitation. Therefore, there will be numerous environmental improvements, as well as savings in the consumption of treated water supplied by utilities when choosing to implement the rainwater harvesting and storage system.
